We’re unboxing and reviewing the Gornation Gymnastic Rings. Gornation is a German company that started in 2015 as a Calisthenics clothing brand. Over the years, it became one of the premier producers of Calisthenics Home Equipment, including these Gymnastic Rings. I love rings for the versatility and additional gains they can bring, so I bought a set of Gornation Gymnastic Rings. It’s time to review them and see how they hold up during my exercises.

Unboxing the Gornation Gymnastic Rings
The rings came in a simple, neat box with some positive affirmations printed on it. Bold statements like “Never give up!” and “Keep growing!” remind us that growth is continual and requires time and sacrifice. These are good messages, but let’s see if these rings can help us with those goals.
Inside the box is a black zip bag containing the wooden Gymnastic Rings and nylon straps. The zip bag is clean and straightforward and comes with a carrying loop. The Gornation logo is displayed prominently on one side of the pouch.
Aside from the rings and straps, you also get a door anchor and a small booklet with information about the rings. The straps are neatly coiled together into a disk. The rings feel nice and evenly finished, and the Gornation logo is etched on the side of each ring.
It made a great first impression, even with the unassuming packaging.

The rings are made of high-quality birch wood and have a fine satin finish. They feel great to the touch, which is neither smooth nor coarse. The rings can be used indoors and outdoors, but mustn’t become wet. This also means you’ll want to store them in a dry place when not in use.
These are small concessions to make for that luxury feel of a wooden ring. I prefer wooden rings over any other material rings for their traction, sweat absorption, and even temperature, regardless of whether the environment is hot or cold.
Hanging the Gornation Gymnastic Rings From a Bar
The numbered straps come in real handy when you’re hanging the rings. The numbers and markings on the Gornation straps are embroidered, not printed. I like the embroidered numbers over the printed ones since these don’t wear out.
When hanging them up, face the side with the numbers toward you, with the zero mark right over the bar or other mounting point you’re using. Adjust the clasp to the height you want. You can now repeat the same step for the second strap, noting at which marking the clasp on the first strap is placed. These numbered straps are a fast and convenient method to equalize the rings.
