I saw the Gorletic LowFit Pro and Medium Parallettes used at the Street Workout Ultimate Battles in Madrid. That was all the excuse I needed to buy my own sets and test them out for a review. At the time, they were still known as Gorillant but recently changed their name to Gorletic. Despite the new name, Gorletic has decades of woodworking experience, and so far, I am very impressed by all their products. About Gorletic Products
Gorletic has plenty of woodworking experience. They first started their business in Spain in 1985 as a furniture maker. In 2019, they made the jump to making Calisthenics equipment under the brand name Gorilant. However, this caused them some legal issues with another company by the same name, so in 2023, they officially changed the brand to its current name. They are also known for their excellent Gymnastic Rings.

Gorletic LowFit Pro Parallettes
The Gorletic LowFit Pros are low Parallettes with a wide base and long handles. I immediately noticed the magnetic storage system, where the two bars fit neatly inside each other’s feet and stay in place. The magnets remind me a bit of the Kensui YinYang Parallettes. The grip also looks unique, and the quality beech wood used for these grips creates a nice contrast with the matte black feet. The picture is completed with a metal logo plaque pressed into the sides of the base of the feet. The whole package gives you a high-quality impression with careful attention to detail.

These are low Parallettes with a base almost twice as wide as they are tall. Coupled with their length, this gives you a very stable base. The feet are equipped with anti-slip pads as well. The Gorletic LowFit Pro Parallettes are very stable and do not go anywhere during regular exercises.
Gorletic LowFit Pro Parallettes Handles
The handles have a rough surface that almost feels knurled. The design and quality of the grip are the best we’ve seen on the market, but they can be rough on the hands. You do get used to this, and it’s a matter of preference either way. The considerable grip diameter of 39 mm is another standout feature. This is thicker than we usually consider thick grips (38mm), and even that 1mm more is noticeable. I like the thicker grip for its added surface area, and it helps with developing grip strength while also giving you extra stability during inverted exercises.
Exercising with the Gorletic LowFit Pro Parallettes
The Gorletic LowFit Pro Parallettes allow for many exercises due to their excellent stability and ample grip space. Thanks to the magnetic storage system, you can also take them with you easily and do your exercises where you please.
Using that stability to its fullest, you can do your Handstands and all Handstand variations, as well as L-Sits and V-Sits. Transitions between these sits and Handstands are also safely done, but their low height makes these exercises more difficult for beginners.
Planches are another area where the LowFit Pro Parallettes shine. They show no movement with any Planche variations. I’ve also seen more advanced athletes perform the Maltese on these Parallettes with no issue.

Gorletic Medium Parallettes
At first glance, I notice several differences with the LowFit Pro Parallettes, aside from their dimensions. The grip style is different, being more squarish and not rounded. The material is a laminate that has been bent in shape instead of being cut and fitted together with different parts. This highlights Gorletic’s experience in woodworking techniques that aren’t always apparent with other Calisthenics Home Equipment manufacturers.

The Medium Parallettes are higher than the LowFit Pros, which makes them slightly less stable. Even taking into account their wider base, their height-to-width ratio still makes them less stable. Despite that, the Gorletic Medium Parallettes are some of the most stable medium Parallettes we’ve used.
Gorletic Medium Parallettes Handles
The handles on the Medium Parallettes are rectangular with strongly rounded edges. The surface is smooth with a satin finish, which is soft to the touch. The grip shape feels different from a more rounded or oval grip, which comes down to personal preference. I did like the feel of these grips. The flatter upper surface gave the flat of my hands something solid to rest on while the rest of my hand wrapped around the rounded corners.
Exercising with the Gorletic Medium Parallettes
Being larger Parallettes, they are less portable than the LowFit Pros. They don’t weigh much, though, and easily fit in any medium-sized duffel bag. Wherever you choose to take these Medium Parallettes, you get a wide range of exercises to choose from. Their height means you get a higher range of motions, which has advantages for beginners and more advanced Calisthenics practitioners.
You can make a deeper Push-Up, activating and stretching your chest muscles more. At the same time, the height decreases the decline, and beginners will find it easier to do regular Push-Ups on these Parallettes.
The Medium Parallettes are stable enough for your Handstands and Handstand variations, as well as your L-Sits and V-Sits. Because they are off the floor by 32 cm, transitioning between Sits and Handstands is easier. I also had no problems doing Planches and Planche variations. For the Maltese or other wide-grip off-the-floor exercises, you will want some additional support, like an assistant holding them down.

The Gorletic LowFit Pro or the Medium Parallettes?
Which of the two you choose comes down to a choice between stability and range of motion. For stability, the differences are the smallest. Both the LowFit Pro and the Medium Parallettes are very stable. Of course, the LowFit Pro Parallettes will be more stable, with a much lower center of gravity and a higher width-to-height ratio. This difference in stability only comes into play if you want to do wide exercises like the Maltese.
The Medium Parallettes have a larger range of motion by quite a degree. You can do incline exercises, but you can also go much deeper with your exercises. Even Dips, albeit shallow ones, are possible with the Medium Parallettes. This gives the Medium Parallettes more versatility since you’re gaining a lot of exercise possibilities while only sacrificing wide grip exercises.
Conclusions About the Gorletic Parallettes
Gorletic Parallettes are excellent all around, particularly when it comes to woodworking technique and quality. However, a few distinct features of both Parallettes require consideration.
The LowFit Pro Parallettes have more traditional, rounded grips but are very thick (39 mm). This takes getting used to if you’re coming from 28 mm grips. The thicker grips give you more surface area, help build grip strength, and give you more control when doing off-the-floor exercises like handstands and planches. The surface of the grips is also quite rough compared to other Parallettes. The trade-off here seems to be that you have to get used to the thicker, rougher grips.
I recommend the Gorletic LowFit Parallettes for the advanced practitioner who needs a rock-solid base for their Calisthenics. Beginners with a long-term vision to elevate their Calisthenics can also benefit from getting the LowFit Pro Parallettes early and starting to build grip strength immediately.
The Medium Parallettes give you a higher range of motion with a less stable base. They are still very stable and fit for exercises like Handstands and Planches. Only with wide-grip exercises like the Maltese do the LowFit Pros win decisively.
Most beginners will find this trade-off acceptable, as they’re not currently capable of effective wide-grip exercises. Many Calisthenics practitioners also do not plan on learning very advanced exercises like the Maltese. If they do plan on it, it will be something for the future. In the meantime, the Medium Parallettes will get them to that stage without issue.
Both Gorletic Parallettes are great, and I highly recommend them. The preference between grip styles is personal, but you can’t go wrong with either.
