Ultimate Gorletic Front Lever Bar Review 2025

The Gorletic Front Lever Bar is all about the Front Lever, no surprises. Its use by high-level Callisthenics athletes made us curious as to why they chose this particular bar for their demonstrations. Gorletic is a Spanish company with over 35 years of woodworking experience making furniture. Since 2019, they’ve been creating Calisthenics Equipment and have succeeded. I’ve already reviewed the Gorletic Parallettes, which got my recommendation, and the Gorletic Gymnastic Rings likewise scored high marks. We’ve bought the Gorletic Front Lever Bar for an in-depth review so you can decide if this bar is right for you. As a cherry on top, we also have a discount code (CWW10) for 10% off at checkout.

Gorletic Front Lever Bar Assembly

Before you start the assembly, there is one thing to note about the torque screws. You get two different types, and it’s unclear from the manufacturer’s instructions which to use where. The smaller screws go into the sides of the vertical posts and the top bars. The bigger ones go into the feet. You can also recognize the bigger screws by the additional, larger threading (CEE or Clean Out Threading) near the top.

You can use our step-by-step guide below as well.

  1. Slot the Vertical Posts into the Feet.
  2. Apply a Washer and a CEE Torque Screw (larger type) through the bottom of the Feet, two for each side.
  3. Apply a bolt and hand fasten using the Torque Wrench
  4. Lay one of the assembled Vertical Posts and Feet on its side and insert the two Top Bars into the slots.
  5. Place the second assembled Vertical Post onto the Top Bars and apply a Washer and Torque Screw (smaller type) to each.
  6. Repeat for the other side.

Gorletic Front Lever Bar Specifications

Here are the basic specifications of the Front Lever Bar and what that means regarding exercises.

  • Height: 92 cm (36¼”)
  • Length: 115 cm (45¼”)
  • Width: 60 cm (23⅔”)
  • Bar Diameter: 43 mm (1⅔”)
  • Bar Length: 105 cm (41⅓”)

With 92 centimeters (36¼”), the Gorletic Front Lever Bar comes just short of what most Static Bars measure (115 cm / 45¼”). At that height, you could run into problems with exercises like the Muscle-up and Skin-The-Cat, where you might need more ground clearance. The bottom bar also makes your opening even smaller (as we’ll see during our exercises).

The 60 cm width will also cause some wobble when doing any exercise with front-to-back momentum. Again, the compact ground coverage of the Front Lever Bar might limit muscle-ups, Skin-The-Cat, explosive raises, and similar exercises.

Finally, the usable total length of 105 cm is enough for all typical Front Lever exercises, but wide-grip techniques like the Maltese will run into problems here.

Exercising with the Gorletic Front Lever Bar

Considering the dimensions, we quickly concluded that the secret lies in the name: A Front Lever Bar. It’s capable of other exercises like Muscle-Ups, Dips, and even basics like Push-Ups. However, these aren’t the exercises meant for this bar.

The Gorletic front lever bar works perfectly for the Front Lever, Front Lever Raises, Front Lever Pull-Ups and Australian pull-ups (with bent knees). Just doing the Back Lever also works, but you might run into issues with the floor or the lower bar for a Skin-The-Cat between the Front and Back Lever. If you’re taller (say, above 180cm), you most likely must move your head to the side to make a complete revolution.

I’m not a big fan of doing L-Sits on top of this bar. It gave me that feeling of falling backwards. It didn’t happen, and the Front Lever Bar is stable enough for just a static L-Sit. However, I advise against anything that causes movement, like transitions into Handstands. The Front Lever Bar is not the right tool for that.

Conclusions About The Gorletic Front Lever Bar

Gorletic has extensive experience in woodworking, which is evident in the Gorletic Front Lever Bar. The production quality is outstanding, and the Bar looks great. It is stable enough for its intended purpose, Front Levers and derivatives. Static Back Levers are also possible, and if you’re not too tall, Skin-The-Cats. I’ve also seen Planche exercises, even explosive variations, done with this exact Gorletic Front Lever Bar.

The Front Lever Bar is ideal for these lever exercises and much more compact than a full-sized Static Bar. I recommend this amazing bar for these exercises.
